Paintings by Isabel Lurvey
My mother took up painting late in life, apparently convinced that if I could win a prize at an art show, it couldn't be all that hard.
She was a keen member of the Joy of Art and Kingston Arts Network groups, to which she brought a ruthless cheerfulness.
She died in 2016 and her ashes are scattered along the banks of the local creek she loved to paint so much.
