Watercolour on Arches Paper $1500 A Relic of War

Acrylic on Arches Paper $1500
There are a series of stories by Keith Laumer about stupendous, self-aware war machines called 'Bolos' that are left scattered throughout the galaxy thousands of years after the war ended. This is my take on his theme. Abandoned Faerie Village Albert Park
Watercolour on Arches Paper $1500
There is a Moreton bay fig in Albert Park, which is one of my favourite trees. It cries out to have something secretive amongst its massive roots, that most people walk past without noticing, quietly hidden from the noise and pressure of urban life. I should add that ‘Faeries’ aren’t the kind that grant wishes. They’re the kind that steal your wallet. Chance of Late Showers

Watercolour on Arches Paper $1500
One of my favourite sheds, near Newstead in Victoria. I sold three shed paintings in rapid succession, so thought I'd be clever and for the first (and only) time paint something I thought would sell. Still waiting. Pier, Akaroa

Watercolour on Arches Paper $1500
Akaroa, New Zealand. Autumn Leaves

Watercolour on Arches Paper $1500
An experiment in style. Not sure it works. Rose Harvest Bird House

Acrylic on Arches Paper
One of my first attempts at acrylics. Rosemary's Nest

Watercolour on Arches Paper
Commission. Brass Bob

Acrylic on Schollers-hammer Paper $1500
An actual brass plumb bob I have in my collection of 'antique' tools. Breaking wave, Akaroa

Watercolour on Arches Paper SOLD
We were supposed to go whale-watching and, looking across the glass-smooth Kaikura harbour, wondered what sort of wusses these New Zealanders might be. A few miles up the coast we realised they might, just, know what they’re doing... A seal came up to look at me while I was looking at the surf. His painting probably came out better. Breaking wave, Sorrento

Watercolour on Arches Paper $1500
Breakwater Sentinels

Acrylic on Arches Paper SOLD
The Mice Will Just Have to Chase Themselvess

Watercolour on Arches Paper $1500
This was our cat, Elwood - who spent 90% of her life asleep on her back, and the other 10% asleep on somebody’s lap. Graceless, Aimless, Feckless and Pointles

Watercolour on Arches Paper $1500
'The Four Chickens of the Apocalypse'. The title is a steal from 'Cold Comfort Farm'. Chance of Late Showers
